Diōko Ventures Adds Two Executives to Advisory Board

Winston-Salem, North Carolina. (July 22, 2018) – Diōko Ventures (“Diōko”) announced the addition of two healthcare executives to its Advisory Board. The fund announced today that Tim Rice, CEO Emeritus of the Moses Cone Health System, and Angela Yochem, Executive Vice President and Chief Digital Officer of Novant Health will join Diōko Ventures Advisory Board effective immediately.

Tim Rice served as CEO of Greensboro, NC based Cone Health from 1992 until his retirement in 2014. At the time of his departure, Cone had revenues in excess of $1.3B and employed 12,000 in the region. Rice currently serves on the Board of NCA&T University and the Center for Creative Leadership. He previously served as the Chair of the North Carolina Hospital Association. A Pharmacist by training, he is an active investor and mentor to innovative healthcare companies.

Angela Yochem is executive vice president and chief digital and technology officer for Novant Health. Yochem leads Novant Health’s interdisciplinary team that identifies and develops differentiating technology to engage patients, empower team members, provide a remarkable healthcare experience across its multistate footprint. A US patent holder, Angela has held executive positions at Rent-A-Center, BDP International, AstraZeneca, and Dell Technology. She has served as an independent director on several corporate boards and remains an entrepreneur in residence and mentor for funds and incubators in the Silicon Valley area.
